Steph is known for her coffee-stained canvases adorned with ink drawings of birds, but lately has been branching out into architectural cityscapes. Here is a photograph of a few in-progress works that will be available at Hover Craft.
Like many artists, Steph works with the space she has. This is a shot of her desk, with a piece that she is developing. Often to complete her work, she carves out a little place for herself in the midst of a chaotic jumble of ink pens and paint tubes.
When Steph is not working on her own work, you can find her most days at The Waxwing, a local artist and consignment shop that represents close to 100 local artists. Before it opened, she spent her time traveling whenever and wherever she could. "I love being on the road and it made returning home that much sweeter," she explains. Since she opened its doors in March of this year, running the shop has taken over her life in a good way.
"I'm so excited to be a part of Hover Craft this year! Last year was my first year attending and I fell in love with the overall vibe of the show-- there was so much great creative energy flowing through the space. I'm also excited to be able to sponsor the show through The Waxwing this year. It feels good to have even a small part in making the show happen" - Steph Davies
